1. WAIST
Measure around the waist over shirt, at the navel.
Tape should allow fingers to slide underneath.
Note, this waist measurement is not the same as a trouser waist measurement. The kilt is worn higher than trousers, so the waist measurement is usually greater than the trouser measurement. Only take this measurement over a shirt, not over your trousers.
2. SEAT / HIP
Measure around fullest part of seat. Not too tight. We're sure you'd like to be able to sit down.
3. LENGTH
Measure from the same height as your waist, to finished length.
Gents top of the knee cap.
Ladies 2" below the bottom of the knee cap.
4. MID-HIP (Ladies only).
Measure 4" down from waist.
One final measurement required is the Fell. This is the difference between where you took your waist and Hip measurements. Normally about 1/3 of the total length.
